It’s spring break which marks the midway point in my semester, and the year so far! These last 3 months have been a whirlwind of balancing my new school, work, and now writing this blog, which of course is a challenge in and of itself. But there are always things to make those dark winter months as bright as these upcoming spring months. Here are the things that I loved during the beginning of the year, from a double Dolly lockdown to retro music and shows, this list will hopefully give you the spring in your step this spring.
“Sabihin Mo Na” in Tagalog: Connecting to Filipino Culture through Music
Yeng Constantino is one of the few mainstream Filipino artists that continuously creates new music in Tagalog, which is the main language out of hundreds spoken in the Philippines. Here I'll be talking about how being a fan of Yeng's OPM (Original Pilipino Music) connects me to my native culture and increases my use and knowledge of Tagalog.
